Best Place to Buy Flowers at "Wholesale Prices"
By Rodney H.
Watanabe Floral is the best place to buy flowers at wholesale prices. They carry an array of cut roses in various colors from yellow, peach, red, pink to purple. They also sell different types of bouquets and leis for special occasions. You can't beat the prices at Watanabe Floral. Most of their flowers are grown right in Waimea at their farm. There is a lot of parking at the warehouse and the staff are helpful.
Mainland and local flowers year round at "wholesale prices"
By Diane K.
Wonderful source for mainland flowers you can't grow in Hawaii from seasonal lilacs and daffodils to pussy willows characterize this store. Their prices spoil you for other retail sources for flowers. If you keep your receipt and the flowers die quickly they stand by their merchandise and will replace it. They have recently renovated and beautified this store, making it look far more like a retail establishment than a wholesaler, without the expected increase in prices.
Great Place to Buy Flowers
By Julie H.
We buy flowers from this store for special occasions. The roses are affordable and a lot cheaper than other florists in town. They grow their own roses on their farms to keep the costs down.

This place is bigger than what it looks like from the outside. This is a great place to have anything made from flowers.
They have the best selection of leis you can find. It is so nice just to come in here and smell all the wonderful flowers. If your a tourist, I would have to recommend a stop here just to look at all the different flowers and plants. You can ask the friendly associates that work their and ask about the flowers and smell 'em too.
I think they have classes that you can attend too.

If you're aiming to impress the lady in your life, this is it. And sometimes sorry isn't enough, so let flowers do the talking for you. Watanabe Floral has the biggest variety and literally the cream of the crop in nature.
It's not cheap but you definitely get what you pay for. One time long ago I received a dozen marbled red and pink roses. I don't even like roses in particular, but I was in love with these--no pantydropping involved but there was definitely jawdropping.
These are the kind of flowers you want to hairspray right before they wither and die--you can preserve all that beauty and expensiveness this way. They make a great earthy decoration for any stark wall. Anyway, Watanabe Floral--look no further.

Being ambitious and quite possibly insane (which I blame on bridal brain), I decided to do all of my wedding flowers by myself and needed a place where I could order the flowers. Sure, I could have ordered it online but I wanted a local source so that I wouldn't have to worry about problems like dead mini calla lillies honolulu hawaiiflowers on delivery or crazy shipping prices to Hawaii.
I walked into their 'Bulk Purchases Only' freezer (straight in front of the entrance) and was amazed at the variety of flowers and greenery that was available. There was much more in that smaller room than on the main sales floor of the shop. The items in the bulk section are sold in slightly larger quantities but it IS open to the public.
I finalized my flower order less than 2 weeks before the wedding and the person that I worked with was extremely helpful throughout the process. I plan on picking something up for my mom for Mother's Day this year. =)

I worked with Lorenzo who helped me with my lei selection several times. vibrant orchid lei hawaiiHe helped me pick which leis that would look good and withstand the heat. Affordable. This was the only lei shop I found that would let me order flowers. The rest, including Cindy's below, said that I couldn't pre-order because my wedding fell in graduation season. Watanabe has a similar policy but it so happens that my wedding date was outside of their graduation season. The leis were nice and fresh. |
